AGM fundraising for Cancer Research UK

Last week's AGM wasn't just about updating our workforce on what's happening at Quill, getting everyone involved in employee engagement activities and having fun at the after party, it was also an opportunity to do our 'giving back' bit by fundraising for charity. Our monetary donation of £475, generated from our raffle, will support Cancer Research UK's ongoing initiatives to beat cancer sooner.

Quill Payroll provides long-term fix to cashier problem at MPP Solicitors

When MPP Solicitors first became a Quill client, for legal accounts software only initially, the practice employed its own cashier. Responsible mainly for managing its accounts on Quill’s software, another facet of its cashier’s role was processing the firm’s payroll. The internal structure changed when its cashier retired. A long-term solution was sought because of the challenges presented by constant payroll changes. The practice compared payroll software purchase and outsourcing costs, and chose our outsourced payroll service.

Following the introduction of automatic donations via salary sacrifice, our monthly contributions of £1 per employee for the privilege of dressing casually to work every Friday means it's quicker to donate monies raised to our chosen charities.
