Last week's AGM wasn't just about updating our workforce on what's happening at Quill, getting everyone involved in employee engagement activities and having fun at the after party, it was also an opportunity to do our 'giving back' bit by fundraising for charity. Our monetary donation of £475, generated from our raffle, will support Cancer Research UK's ongoing initiatives to beat cancer sooner.

Our staff AGM and CPD afternoon is being held this Friday 10th May for training and development purposes. With all staff in attendance, our offices are closed for part or all of the day.

When MPP Solicitors first became a Quill client, for legal accounts software only initially, the practice employed its own cashier. Responsible mainly for managing its accounts on Quill’s software, another facet of its cashier’s role was processing the firm’s payroll. Our weekly dress down Friday charity fundraisers just got easier. Following the introduction of automatic donations via salary sacrifice, our monthly contributions of £1 per employee for the privilege of dressing casually to work every Friday means it's quicker to donate monies raised to our chosen charities. This Valentine's Day, we're baking our hearts out to host a cake sale in aid of our aptly chosen charity, British Heart Foundation, collecting cards for Red Letter Days' teamed-up project with care homes across the country for those spending Valentine's alone and sending messages of thanks to fellow Quill colleagues deserving of special recognition.

With gridlocked roads due to snow and ice, journeys are taking much longer than usual, and the Met Office is advising drivers to take particular care in deteriorating conditions and avoid travelling altogether if possible.
