With Children In Need just around the corner, we're planning our usual bake sale, all-you-can-eat buffet and raffle to raise money for disadvantaged and poorly children. Christmas is only a few weeks away too, so we're holding collections of food, toiletries, toys and gifts on behalf of regional appeals. Finally, we held another group blood donation session last week and our very own Steven Shaw (photographed here) has recently pledged his 25th blood donation over a 9-year period.

Continue ReadingHaving sadly lost our long-serving director, Peter Dye, to blood cancer recently, this year's main annual fundraiser was in aid of Anthony Nolan, a charity that uses its register to match potential stem cell donors to blood cancer and blood disorder patients in need of stem cell transplants.
