Dress down Friday charity fundraisers

Posted: 11th March, 2019

It's been a while since we shared news about our dress down Friday charity fundraisers and there's been lots going on these past few months. To remind you, we dress casually to work every Friday and once a month each employee donates £1 which we pledge to a charity nominated by a different regional office.

Recently the process of donating money has been made easier as our staff have opted in to automatic donations straight from their salaries. This has been a huge success and no one need now worry about forgetting to bring in their £1 once a month. With close to 100 employees, we raise just short of £100 each month through this method.

In November, this money was given to the Samaritans - a charity which provides emotional support to individuals in emotional distress, struggling to cope or at risk of suicide in the UK. In December, we backed Mind - a charity that offers advice and help to those experiencing mental health problems, and campaigns to improve services for sufferers.

Our January beneficiary was CRY - a charity preventing young sudden cardiac deaths and supporting affected families - and February was the British Heart Foundation - a charity funding research to keep hearts beating and blood flowing.
