Having sadly lost our long-serving director, Peter Dye, to blood cancer recently, this year's main annual fundraiser was in aid of Anthony Nolan, a charity that uses its register to match potential stem cell donors to blood cancer and blood disorder patients in need of stem cell transplants. A team of 12 members of staff and a wider group of family and friends took part in the Salford Dragon Boat Race, held on 20th May at Salford Quays, an event chosen because Peter was a sailing enthusiast. Today we presented £3,021 to Anthony Nolan in an attempt to make a difference to people like Peter in the future. Read more.Continue Reading

Imran states: "We're living proof of how outsourcing's best to operate the payroll function. We recommend Quill for the job!"Continue Reading
We're excited to announce that this year's main charity fundraising event is the Salford Dragon Boat Race, taking place on Sunday 20th May at Salford Quays. Our teams of 16 paddlers will participate in three qualifying races over the 180 metres of Ontario Dock and (hopefully) battle it out int he grand final. Our charity is Anthony Nolan, a trust set up in 1974 to match blood stem and bone marrow donors to people with blood cancer or blood disorders who desperately need lifesaving transplants. Having lost our long-serving director, Peter Dye, to blood cancer earlier this year, we're supporting the charity that gives aid to people with the illness which tragically took Peter's life. We're also doing something that was Peter's passion in life - sailing.Continue Reading

We celebrated our 40th birthday in January. Reaching our ruby anniversary was cause for celebration of our 90 staff, 4 offices, legal software and outsourced service solutions, all of which have earned us a whole raft of awards and accolades along the way. We’re extremely proud of every achievement, not least the fact that, even after all these years, we remain financially stable and privately owned. To mark the special occasion, we hosted a party for our employees.Continue Reading
Our new outsourced typing service, launched today, has been devised to drastically shorten documentation production times and save money for our clients while also delivering improvements to accuracy and security. As a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week service, Type allows you to receive your dictated work back as typed documents quickly and at all times of the day, to suit your workflow needs. Type replaces the requirement to hire additional temporary or permanent staff, which obviously increases overheads, giving you the chance to instead save up to 60% compared to current in-house costs. We've been really getting into the festive spirit this year and encouraging healthy competition between the various teams and departments throughout Quill by hosting a Christmas decorations contest. There was a lot at stake - a meal out for the two top winning teams, a round of (non-alcoholic) drinks for the two runner ups and, most importantly, everyone's reputation as the King or Queen of Decs! Find out which teams won the crowns.
We wish all our clients, employees, partners and suppliers a very merry Christmas and happy New Year! Like everyone at Christmastime, we'll be taking a break from work to enjoy the festivities. We'll be closing for business at 1pm tomorrow and re-opening at 9am on Tuesday 2nd January. As always, our servers and network infrastructure will be constantly monitored throughout the shutdown period.
