£650+ donated to Children in Need

Posted: 28th November, 2018

Friday 16th November was the BBC's annual Children in Need fundraiser. Our charity committee jumped on the fundraising bandwagon and organised a jam-packed day of fun activities. Want to know how much we raised? Drum roll please... £652.90!

How did we achieve this? We held our very own Great Quill Bake Off won by Phil Whitehead for his delicious Victoria sponge cake which even Mary Berry herself would be proud of; we ran a Mario Kart Tournament with Abigail Morton crowned the fastest techno-racer; our Fabulous Brew Boys Julian Bryan (pictured here in his maid's hat) and Tom Wormald busied themselves brewing up for our Manchester and Liverpool offices; an online duck race with Phil Cook, Natalie Atkinson and Anthony Lewin the three lucky winners; our Big Fat Quiz which saw Shannon Duff earn the prestigious first place; and finally our popular raffle with prizes such as a break out room experience, pet photography session and golfing at the Junk Yard given out to Leanne Simms, Charlene Richardson and Claire Morgan respectively.

There were many more raffle prizes up for grabs - Frog and Bucket Comedy Club vouchers and £50 Slater's voucher amongst them - and cakes for sale throughout the day, all of which contributed to our impressive grand total.

We offer huge thanks to our amazing charity committee for their sterling efforts, as well as our staff for digging deep for this worthy charity. And last, but by no means least, thank you to our suppliers who got involved too and donated money or gifts for our raffle, particularly Veriphy, ID Incentives and Penketh Group. Your generosity is staggering.
