Managing Director
As Managing Director of Quill, Tom leads the day-to-day operations of Quill. Tom comes with an impressive track record of managing large and diverse teams and strategic change management, whilst achieving impressive financial results, characterised by outstanding customer care, profitable growth and significant profit gains.
Tom first joined Quill in 2016 and served as the Client Services Director, where he was responsible for all client-facing services. This included support for legal accounting and practice management software users, outsourced legal cashiering, payroll, digital post room and typing customers. Under Tom’s helm, Quill most recently became the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
Equally important to Tom are the benefits of engaging Quill’s employees and he has set about the task of making his company ‘one of the best places to work’ as evidenced by Best Companies status.
Tom has a key operational role and strong client focus at Quill, and brings 20 years of experience within the legal industry. Previously, Tom was Operations Director at a leading motor insurance legal services business where he created and was responsible for all operational and client-facing services including legal operational management, a 200-seat outsourced insurance claims function, outsourced claims handling and hosted claims solution. Tom helped grow the business from less than 100 staff to 850+ over a 10-year period.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys mountain biking, hill walking, and spending time with family and friends. As a keen outdoors type, the Lake District is one of Tom’s favourite and most-visited places. Tom is married and has three young children, who keep him on his toes!

Product Development Director
Harry has been working with Quill since 2018 as Product Development Director. Harry is responsible for understanding the challenges faced by our users and making sure Quill provides solutions that deliver tangible business value as a result. Harry leads the product development department embracing product management, development and QA. It’s down to her team’s hard work that Quill most recently became the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
Harry works remotely from her home in Devon. With her son now away at university, she’s developed a love of high altitude trekking so spends weekends walking coastal paths and the moors in training for her annual ascents of the various peaks around the world. The rest of Harry’s spare time is spent doing yoga, getting creative with her sewing machine, and enjoying time with friends and family.

Client Services Director
Mike first joined Quill in 2010 and now serves as the Client Services Director, where he was responsible for all client-facing services. This includes support for legal accounting and practice management software users, outsourced legal cashiering, payroll, digital post room, bookkeeping and typing customers.
Prior to his role as Client Services Director, Mike led our outsourced accounts team, where he was responsible for our legal cashiering and bookkeeping services and over 50 legal cashiers and bookkeepers based in our offices in Manchester and Liverpool. There, Mike was responsible for ensuring that our legal cashiering services are carried out in accordance with all the latest accountancy, SRA Accounts Rules and VAT regulations. A key part of this is to ensure all tasks are undertaken by our team of highly trained, skilled legal cashiers and bookkeepers in a timely and accurate manner, particularly month-end and year-end completions.
Having gained over 10 years of experience in the legal industry, and in progressing through the ranks within Quill, Mike is perfectly placed to lead the Quill team in driving exceptional customer service and value. Under Mike’s helm, Quill most recently became the first (and currently only) outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
Mike is currently AAT level 4 qualified and part CIMA qualified which gives him vast amounts of knowledge in accounting and compliance.
Outside of work, Mike is usually following his football team or socialising with friends and family. When he’s not watching football, playing football, or thinking about football, you’ll find him walking his beloved Labradors, Kiki and Dora.

Head of People and Culture
As the Head of People and Culture, Corrine is a senior HR professional with 10+ years’ strategic and operational experience who has successfully led and executed improvement initiatives in all areas of human resources such as leadership coaching, strategy and organisational design, talent and performance management, change management and recruitment.
She actively champions our ethos of “you look after Quill, and Quill looks after you” amongst employees and believes in working together to build a partnership that maximises business / individual performance.
Corrine serves as a key point of contact for all HR and people-related queries and her responsibilities are to ensure that our company’s up to date and compliant with all the latest HR and H&S-related legislation. Corrine provides advice to staff and senior leaders throughout our regional offices so that best practice is adhered to on a company-wide basis. She also manages and oversees the recruitment for all vacant positions within Quill.
Corrine contributes to both the HR and overall corporate strategy and helps drive the business forward in order to improve overall performance, staff satisfaction, employee retention as well as results in external accreditations such as Best Companies and recommendation from The Law Society.
In light of the pandemic, Corrine’s job role has expanded to also focus on all manner of vital health and safety assessments. Not only has Corrine introduced safe working practices across our physical and home offices to help keep us safe, but she is also a mental health first aider dedicated to supporting employee wellbeing.
As our company’s committed to training and developing each and every one of our valued employees, it’s part of Corrine’s role to ensure that managers have the necessary skills and resources to provide continual professional development opportunities and ongoing progress reviews to their teams.
A few years ago, Corrine relocated from London to Manchester and still enjoys exploring the North! Corrine does try to get back down to London on a regular basis, or enjoys entertaining and showing Southern friends and family around the North when they reciprocate visits. She is a proud mum of two.

Finance Controller
As Finance Controller, Eddie’s responsible for maintaining the financial accounts for all divisions within the Quill group – both legal software and outsourced services. In addition, Eddie provides detailed financial management information to our directors in line with agreed timetables as well as on an ad hoc basis upon request.
With clear insights into Quill’s financial status and performance, Eddie plays a key role in quarterly forecasting and preparation of annual budgets.
In terms of previous experience, Eddie has worked in both accountancy practice and wider industry; most recently in the crisp, popcorn and chocolate manufacturing sectors. In his last post for a luxury chocolate producer, Eddie managed the finance, costing and administration team.
Eddie’s a fellow of the ACCA; an accreditation he maintains with a minimum of 40 hours’ new learning every year as part of a continued professional development programme.
Eddie cycles to the office as a means of making use of the time commuting for fitness thereby saving himself a trip to the gym later on! He spends his leisure time with his wife, Ava, and their three young children. The rest of his spare time is split between catching up with friends and family, various DIY jobs around the house, and playing or watching football.

Head of Client Success
Clare joined Quill way back in 1994 on a part time basis working as an assistant to the southern Sales Director. She progressed to full time working in 1997, taking on a variety of roles including marketing, customer liaison, training and co-ordinating installations. Having garnered a host of relevant experience, Clare moved into the sales department in 2006, was promoted to Client Relationship Manager in 2017 and further to Head of Client Success in 2021.
Clare's role is to help clients achieve value from Quill's suite of legal software products in order to encourage product adoption as well as identify gaps and improve customer retention. In essence, her role is to continually deliver value to our customers and ensure they have exceptional experiences with Quill.
Having spent 28 years working at Quill, Clare already knows many of our clients and, as such, is uniquely qualified to not only understand and champion our customers' needs but to also drive greater efficiencies in our product so that it continuously improves.
Clare’s spare time is spent with her husband Richard, where they enjoy a previously unknown level of freedom now that their son George has flown the nest and is financially independent! Visits to the theatre, Twickenham and city breaks abroad feature heavily in Clare’s personal diary. All of course interspersed with a spot of therapeutic shopping. A girl can never have too many shoes!

Payroll Operations Manager
Sophie Joined Quill in 2019 and leads the payroll department. With over 15 years of payroll experience, Sophie’s areas of expertise include Umbrella, IR35, Director and overseas contracts.
Sophie has a strong focus on client satisfaction, and ensuring that we deliver a quality and affordable service to our clients and their staff. Before joining Quill, Sophie worked at one of the UK’s largest umbrella payroll organisations and was responsible for a large number of blue chip clients.
Sophie is married to Craig, and in her spare time likes to spend quality time with family and friends.

Sales Manager
Having worked at Quill since 2007, Anthony has progressed through the ranks. He began his Quill career as Legal Cashier and was promoted internally to IT Support Analyst before moving into sales.
As Quill’s Sales Manager, Anthony serves as one of the key points of contact between our company and our clients. With business development and client retention responsibilities, Anthony’s primary role involves additional product sales to existing clients and new products to prospective clients for our full portfolio comprising software, and outsourced cashiering, payroll digital post room and typing services.
Anthony’s goal is to drive awareness of our software and outsourcing solutions amongst the legal community, and demonstrate how Quill can promote business transformation. During his time, Quill most recently became the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
He leads our Account Manager, Rebecca Thomas, alongside fellow Regional Sales Consultant, Jo Poole and Doug Convery, to achieve breakthrough business outcomes for clients with our state-of-the-art software and expansive outsourced services ranges.
Over 15 years’ legal industry experience ensures Anthony has a thorough working knowledge of the typical challenges and issues faced by law firms, and how best to overcome them with technology and back-office support.
Outside of work, Anthony has fun socialising with friends and family, frequenting country pubs and city centre restaurants alike to sample the best food and drinks on offer. He also loves walking in the Lake District and enjoys the odd 60-mile bike ride!

Regional Sales Consultant
As a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience in the legal field, Doug is known for his expertise in practice management and how law firms can work even smarter with the right software-services combination. Doug most recently spent 15 years working for SOS Legal, where he was responsible for driving sales forward for UK-based SME law firms.
Doug is skilled at developing the right action plan for each of his client’s unique needs and committed to helping them choose the best legal system and outsourced support to help them thrive. Throughout his career, he has earned the trust of several large legal practices and maintained strong client relationships that generate repeat business. During his time, Quill most recently became the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
In his position as Regional Sales Consultant, Doug’s aim is as much about new business development (prospective clients) as it is about customer care (existing clients), developing productive relationships with both audiences and ensuring our solutions deliver tangible value to end users.
Doug has two young daughters that keep him busy. Outside of family life, he enjoys travelling in his campervan, climbing mountains in Scotland and exploring the coast. Finding the occasional country pub is always a bonus! He is also a keen sports fan of pretty much any type, although largely in a watching capacity these days.

Regional Sales Consultant
Jo joined Quill as Regional Sales Consultant in the summer of 2017, having spent the previous 21 years of her career working in sales, 16 of which were in the legal industry for various software suppliers.
Covering the South, Jo’s responsible for both existing clients and prospective clients based in this area, involving additional and new product sales respectively. It’s Jo’s role to help practices keep up-to-date with software and service developments, and choose the combination of Quill solutions best suited to them in order to run their business better and realise tangible benefits. During her time, Quill most recently became the first outsourced legal cashiering service and legal accounts, case, document and practice management software provider to be recommended by the Law Society.
On one hand, Jo is a keen keep fit enthusiast spending spare time in the gym or road running as well as dog walking. On the other hand, she’s a gin fanatic and enjoys sampling many gins from around the world whilst travelling whenever she gets the opportunity. Socialising with friends and family is something that is always important to her, so it helps that her partner Danny has his own pub.

Client Account Manager
As Client Account Manager, Becky is responsible for supporting our existing clients and introducing legal practices to Quill. Her role is to understand our clients’ business models and pain points, and accordingly offer our full range of complementary, value-added software and services which better support their goals. Becky also ensures that clients’ voices are heard internally by engaging with the product development and client service teams. Becky’s interests are playing hockey at weekends, and going on holiday as much as time and funds permit. She has two stepsons, Finley and Ezra, and lives with her partner, James.
